  5. [note: this distribution comes in two parts: get both!]

  7. E is a powerful and flexible object oriented / procedural / unpure
  8. functional higher programming language, mainly influenced by languages
  9. such as C++, Ada, Lisp etc., and Amiga E a very fast compiler for it,
  10. with features such as speed of >20000 lines/minute on a 7 Mhz amiga,
  11. inline assembler and linker integrated into compiler, large set of
  12. integrated functions, great module concept with v39 includes as modules,
  13. flexible type-system, quoted expressions, immediate and typed lists,
  14. low-level and object polymorphism, exception handling, inheritance,
  15. data-hiding, methods, multiple return values, default arguments,
  16. register allocation, fast memory management, unification, LISP-Cells,
  17. (macro-) preprocessor, source-level debugger, and much much more...
  18.  
  19. update to v3.0a.

  21. This _distribution_ is Freeware. It contains only a limited compiler,
  22. a registered compiler is available separately.
